Have you ever felt like the noise of the world/social media/society/etc is so loud you can’t even hear your own voice? Do you feel like you aren’t sure what is the “right” way you “should” think or what to believe? I hear ya. I feel ya. I have been there. And I have to be very mindful so that the noise doesn’t overpower my own. It’s a frustrating place to be when we feel like we can’t think for ourselves.
This is something I am truly passionate about, and instill it in my courses and my 1:1 coaching. I don’t know about you, but I have always been a “think outside the box” kind of gal…I do not like to be controlled or told what to do… (hello, entrepreneur spirit) and if you tell me I can’t do something, I say “watch this.” I don’t follow the crowd (not that I haven’t ever, but that’s before I learned how to trust myself!) and I am trying my very best to instill these things into my two daughters. I want them to always feel safe and confident to be 100% who they are without the world telling them what they SHOULD be, feel, say or do.
Can you relate?
Learning how to lean in to the power greater than us, and to our own true soul selves so that we can make decisions, beliefs, thoughts, values, etc that are in alignment with what we truly believe.
So… all this said, do you live or want to learn how to live by your own truth, your own voice & listen to your own soul? If you aren’t sure if you’re out of alignment, you’ll know because you’ll feel anxious, worrisome, sick, exhausted, or frustrated. In other words, super low vibe. Many times you will even feel it physically in your body. (If you would like to learn more about this, message me.)
I’ve outlined a few questions to journal about/ask yourself if you’re feeling overwhelmed with the outside world and know that you’re not in alignment with your true self. Before you answer these questions, free yourself from distractions and get still.
Trust yourself. Trust your soul. It will NEVER steer you wrong. If it’s coming from a place of love, listen.
- How do I feel? How do I want to feel?
- Do I truly believe ____ to be true? Why/why not? Where did this thought/belief originate from? How can I rewrite the story?
- Do I truly believe ____ to be false? Why/why not? Where did this thought/belief originate from?
- Do I really value ____? Why/why not? Where did this ___ originate from? How can I rewrite the story?
- Do I truly want ____? Why/why not? Where did this ___ originate from? How can I rewrite the story?
- Does ____ truly matter to me? Why/why not? Where did this ___ originate from? How can I rewrite the story?
